For those who have many watchers, and for those who don’t have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

This is just a bust/portrait thing of Pash that I decided to doodle/color yesterday. It was really an attmept to get back into digital coloring and to practice textures (dur). I was so sad when you couldn't even see the textures in the .jpg version of Lish's trade.
 I'm pretty happy with how it turned out considering how little time I worked on it.  No crits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Time taken: 20-30 minutes on drawing, 4 hours to color Pash, about 2 hours to clean up the pic/add background. So......... 6 hours 30 minutes total? Medium: Pencil for initial sketch and then PSE for color, etc. Pash is (c) ME. No stealing!!!! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THIS ON YOUR WEBSITE, CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN, TRACE, SELL, OR OTHERWISE REDISTRIBUTE THIS PIECE. Why do you think I watermark, eh? |

it does look pretty, but (most) a speedpaint shows brush strokes, and quick process. it shows much sketchyness and messyness, the point is to make the figures recognizable with a few brush strokes and details that are effective. Also, a speedpaint is something you feel freedom in doing, not working so hard and refining refining to get it done "perfect"
you dont work to make a speedpaint, thats for a completed polished piece.

Life is a dream so lets live it the way we want.
I like…most of everything about this picture. I don’t mean to sound like I’m glorifying it or anything, but my eyes keep jumping from one part to the next. Most prominently I like the SNOW: both the falling flakes in the background and the white flecks caught on Pash’s feathers. The snow completes the piece. I also like the colors, along with textures and shading. Pash’s colors were rainbow-ish, if I recall, yet the tones you used in here make them feel natural. Tis a lovely piece, really, so I’ll fave it with much adoration. Great work!
Gah! This is one of those pieces where I finally had something to critique on, yet you ask for no critiques. And yet, on the pieces where you ask for critique, I can never find anything. Oh woe, oh woe!

I'll try to digitally color stuff more. Hopefully, I'll be able to make more than one picture a month, eh?
