Report a Policy Violation
For those who have many watchers, and for those who don’t have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

---------------------------------------------------------   ACEO trade with =Ribbontail. For my half, I decided to draw her character Pola. The original isn't as dark on the grey and the texture of the paper isn't as obvious. That's just scanning stuff. :/ (there's also a lot of detail in the fur that isn't shown. Poo.) I've been working on this pretty much since I've been off from school. It's made using limited watercolors and mostly acrylics. The scene seen here is the first scene in the book... or at least how I envisioned it. I know it's 100% off but whatever. If case you're wondering, the comet entering in is suppsoed to be ribbontail. That's just how I pictured her entering into Emalia. I sort of pictured it being darker in the interior of the god world...tundra place and then becoming brighter as they reached the edge of Emalia. Sorry if this is confusing you, Ribs, or anyone else who has read the story.... it's been a while since I've read that chapter and I have a horrible reading comprehension.  ------------------------------------ Medium: Acrylics, watercolor, on watercolor paper. First off, was this meant to be an ACEO trade? Holy crap... I thought that it was just a regular trade, without any of the ACEO guidelines. I did my half on regular sketchbook paper... I'm so sorry if that was the case! I honestly didn't know that you wanted this to be an ACEO trade...

I haven't any critique for you (damn you're hard to critique!). But I wanted to note that Pola's overcoat isn't really like that of a musk ox, but more like the Maltese show coat... just not as long, haha. I should mentioned that in her reference, huh? n_n;
Oh... but this is absolutely love Pash. You made beautiful use of colors, and your details are fine-tuned. Best of all is the lighting, oh my goodness: your lighting is so natural, especially the snow at her feet. Such beauty... it was nice to see somebody's more realistic take on my character. Your perception of Emalia is very commendable, too. It wasn't that far from my own idea, that's for sure.

I just had to comment because i absolutley LOVE acrylics and watercolour mixed, i love how you have pianted the sky and the snow, its really beautiful. Pola looks absolutley amazing! When i read the first chapter i hadn't seem Pola's ref, this is how i imagined it

I think she's a pretty interesting character as well. That's why I chose to draw her.

Yep, it is my half of the trade with ribbontail. I still need to tweak the scan a little bit (the fur detail being gone is messing with me) but I'm really happy with how it came out.
Nice to hear that I'm not the only one who pictured it looking this way.
